How to Promote Image Based Blogs
If your blogs are devoted to show images or information conveyed to people by pictures, you must keep in mind that the text you write in image, cannot be read by google. However, the name of picture file can make google to guess what the image is. To understand, consider an example, if you upload a picture named '123' and the picture is of the cat, then it will not prove informative for search engines. If you rename that picture as Playing Cat, that will make sense for search engines to understand the picture.

Blogs of Friends and Family to Promote Your Blog
If you have more than one blogs, link all of them together. Also ask your friends and family members who use internet to add links to your blog in their blogs. This will be useful for you, as well as your friends and family. Check wether "Following" on your blogs is enabled or not. Make "Following" option enabled like my blog.
Use your URL in Emails for Publicity
When you send emails to others, always remember to put your URL as signature. This will also help for the traffic of your blog to increase.
